Answered 38w agoThere is a whole range of topics you can choose from when you write for college magazines. I have a bunch of articles an seo company did on my website and I probably spent more time fixing the inaccuracies. People of all ages must be able to understand your claims, aim and sentences easily. Follow these simple steps and you’ll be on your way to brilliant articles in a fraction of the time.
Your comprehension of your readings determines the quality of your article as much as the quantity and quality of your readings do. Teachers tell us they use these questions to help students practice writing persuasively; as inspiration for lessons; as jumping-off points for class discussions and debates; or just to encourage student engagement with current events and with young people from around the world. From the common hangout spot to the most dreaded professor, all these things are pretty much the same for all students. For many bloggers and content creators, finding the topic to write about takes up half the time. Explore all the amazing things you can do with a StudioPress Site, and you’ll understand why this is way more than traditional WordPress hosting. Fortunately (or unfortunately), I have a dedicated readership who are all too glad to correct grammatical and spelling mistakes in the comments 😉. If your topic is still too broad, revise your topic according to your readings and narrow it as much as possible. The article entitled “Cheating Ourselves of Sleep” caught my attention this week due to that fact that most of what was described in this article about the negative effects that lack of sleep brings describes most of my unexplained questions. The experiences that students have in college are more or less the same for everyone. If you try to force yourself to come up with supporting information for your brilliant idea right away, it’s going to take ages.
Although, writing about a professor as being dreaded would be inappropriate for a college magazine but a common hangout spot and experiences that you had there would be like lauding your college and since you share the same sense of pride of being part of it with other college students, such an article would enamor all your readers. Keep in mind that your readers are young minds who can adapt to change very well. So make sure your article has right amount of humor to attract the readers and being a bit sarcastic won’t hurt. Think what your subheadings might be and then write a short introduction that lets the reader know what to expect. And a direct, rhetorical question in the first paragraph to make readers want to find out the answer. It also caught my attention because it talked about 175 keyboardists playing together, including the mayor of New York City. I can imagine how amazing it would be to walk around New York City and hear so many great performers. Not limiting the topic means that you will write a heavy speech and a common composition.
Using a pompous language, using obscure words and making long sentences are not the features of a good article. Make it easier for them to get a good impression about your writing by entertaining them. Everything you write must speak to that reader and engage their interest right from the first sentence. Just make sure you have something new to tell, since young minds have a tendency to skip repeated things, they find it boring. Such as why do I easily become unfocused, and lack of energy to preform my daily activities? I was astonished to have read that most people require seven to eight hours of sleep in order to function properly which explains why I would space out during class and would never focus on the material. This would also demonstrate why I would feel as if I never gave my full potential during swimming practice.
Read treatises, articles and books about the topic until you are sure that you have comprehended the topic with every aspect. What sentence style have I used that makes it semi-informal and speak directly to the reader? Cut out any supporting idea that doesn’t fit with the main topic of the article. In order to write a good article, first choose your topic and decide its boundaries.
